Valentines, Galentines, Palentines – Lets Spread The Love!

Valentines isn’t just for those loved-up, soppy people in relationships.  It’s a day to spread the love with those who mean the most to you and what better way to share the love than whipping up a Valentines inspired cocktail.  Whatever your relationship status is, we believe everyone deserves to feel the love this week!  We’ve listed some of our favourite cocktails to sip and celebrate with this Thursday.

 

SPARKLING BASED

Pomegranate Romance

 

 Garnish with fresh pomegranate’s seeds and rosemary sprig.

Method:  Fill a large balloon glass with several ice cubes, and then add the pomegranate juice. Top up with Freixenet ICE.

 

The Lovebirds

  • 1 bottle extra chilled of Freixenet Cordon Rosado
  • 4 ounces brandy (We suggest Peach Brandy)
  • 2 tablespoons rose water
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 white peach (or nectarine) finely sliced

 

Garnish with some rose petals

Method:  Combine all of the ingredients (except the rose petals) in a large chilled pitcher and chill. Serve cold in wine glasses.

 

Avalon Fizz

 

Garnish with an edible flower or column cut ice.

Method:  Mix all ingredients into a chilled highball glass, stir and top with Freixenet ICE Rosé
 

Strawberry & Vodka Slush

Garnish with Strawberry

Method

  • Start mixing the strawberries, the vodka and the sugar in a blender. Freeze for 1h to have the slush.
  • Add two spoons of the slush and top up with Cordon Negro.
  • Garnish with fresh strawberries.

 

 GIN BASED

Lady Muff

  • 40ml Muff Gin
  • 25ml Martini Riserva Ambrato
  • 20ml Champagne cordial
  • Orange Bitters 

Baby’s breath garnish 

 

Violets Are Blue

Ingredients:

Garnish with a Maraschino Cherry on stylish toothpick, with lemon ribbon on rim.

 

Method:  Add the Gin, Maraschino liqueur and fresh lemon juice into a shaker over ice. Shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds.  Strain into a chilled Coupe glass and then strain into a cocktail glass. Add the 5ml Blue Curacao liqueur before serving.

 

African Watermelon Spritz

  • 50ml Whitley Neill Original
  • 20ml Freshly pressed lemon juice
  • 15ml sugar syrup
  • 50ml Watermelon Juice
  • 35ml Soda Water

Garnish with Watermelon chunks & physalis

Method:  Add all ingredients to the glass over cubed ice. 

 

Tickled Raspberry Martini

Garnish with Pineapple Leaf & Raspberry

Method:  Shake all ingredients with cubed ice. Fine strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a Pineapple leaf and raspberry.

 

Cupids Club

  • 50ml Whitley Neill Raspberry Gin
  • 25ml Fresh Raspberry Puree
  • 5ml Chocolate (Cacao) Syrup
  • 25ml Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 5ml Egg White (Cellulose)

 Garnish with Pineapple Leaves and 3 Raspberries dusted with Chocolate

Method:  Shake all ingredients over ice. Shake and strain into a chilled coupe glass

 

Pink Grapefruit Frizanté

Garnish with Pink Grapefruit slice            

Methods:  Add all ingredients into the glass along with cubed ice.  Stir and serve with a grapefruit slice

 

VODKA BASED

Lord Muff

  • 40ml Muff Vodka 
  • 15ml Briottet Poppy Liqueur
  • 8ml Vanilla syrup
  • 8ml Hibiscus syrup
  • 15ml Lemon juice
  • 15 Egg white 

Top with a splash of smokey ginger ale and garnish with orange zest
