Turkey Flat Grenache, Cabernet, Shiraz, Dolcetto Rose

Turkey Flat Grenache, Cabernet, Shiraz, Dolcetto Rose

On the banks of Tanunda Creek in the heart of Barossa where bush turkeys once roamed, the Silesian settler Johann Fiedler planted the first Shiraz vines in 1843. Highly suited to the terroir, they thrived and in 1865 the land was bought by Gottlieb Ernst Schulz, a butcher of sound reputation. Four generations later, Peter and his wife Christie made the transition from grape growing to winemaking, handcrafting this pristine old fruit into a range of superb wines. Not only are these wines the perfect example of how Rhône varietals can work elsewhere, but the perfect expression of the warm Barossa climate.

Fresh and vibrant with an ever so slight 'spritz' on the palate from naturally retained CO2

A crisp, minerally white with flavours of ripe white stone fruits, citrus and grapefruit.

The palate has rich sweet lifted fruits with a hint gaminess and creamy vanillin oak character. The tannin structure is long and restrained with a velvety finish.
