Germany

This cool climate European vine-growing area is the source of some of the world’s best off-dry and medium-dry white wines. Liebfraumilch is regarded haughtily by some as staid and rather dated, but there are many for whom the word ‘wine’ is synonymous with this grapey fruity style. Those who have tasted Germany’s wonderfully delicate wines from the versatile Riesling grape – particularly from top quality areas like the Mosel or Rheingau – will soon realise that there is also much, much more to German wine.

Romania

Romania has perfect conditions for growing premium grapes, with warm summer months, sheltered slopes and ideal soil structure. The wines from Prahova Valley consist of a blend of New World style with Old World traditions.
